Berge Interiør — Rebranding & Website Concept
Personal project exploring identity and e-commerce potential for a local interior institution

As a personal design project, I developed a refreshed brand identity and website concept for Berge Interiør—a well-established interior shop in Trondheim with roots dating back to the 1960s. Known for their curated selection of interiors and professional styling services, the goal was to reposition Berge Interiør not just as a retail store, but as a design-led brand with deep heritage, creative vision, and commercial potential.

Identity & Concept
Berge Interiør’s existing online presence lacked the emotional and visual depth of their physical store. My concept aimed to elevate the brand by communicating its core values: heritage, trustworthiness, timeless design, and personalized service.
The new color palette reflects this balance of tradition and sophistication:

Sand – a warm, grounding base that feels timeless and inviting

Sage green – representing nature, calm, and a connection to the luxury interiors space

Sea salt blue – a soft, refreshing complement that adds depth and modernity
For typography, I paired a modern sans serif for clean, refined headings and paragraphs with a classic serif to evoke a sense of heritage and craftsmanship.
Website Concept
The proposed landing page introduces the new brand identity while functioning as both a digital showroom and e-commerce platform. Unlike their current website, which redirects visitors to external retailers, this concept integrates a seamless shopping feature, allowing customers to purchase directly—transforming the site into a fully functional webshop.
The layout also highlights interior consulting services, encouraging visitors to book design guidance or styling helpfrom the in-house team. I wanted the landing page to feel not only commercial but inspirational—a curated digital space where customers can explore, dream, and shop.
Vision
More than just a redesign, this project was about crafting a digital experience that mirrors Berge Interiør’s philosophy: creating spaces of harmony and balance, with a focus on long-term relationships and timeless aesthetics. The result is a visual direction that stands apart from competitors—elegant, approachable, and deeply rooted in local tradition.
