BULA Neobistro — Rebranding & Website Design
Project completed while working as a Designer at Bennett Reklamebyrå

During my time at Bennett Reklamebyrå, I had the opportunity to lead the rebranding of BULA Neobistro, a bold and unconventional restaurant in Trondheim. The project included developing a new color palette and designing a dynamic new website that reflected BULA’s playful, rebellious spirit.
The concept was inspired by BULA’s unique brand universe—equal parts Dolly Parton glamour and punk rock attitude. Drawing from the restaurant’s eclectic interior, I crafted a bold color palette that brings their personality to life online. Pink and green take center stage, balanced by neutral tones of beige, black, and white to create contrast and cohesion.
A key focus was optimizing the mobile experience. Knowing that most users visit the site to quickly book a table or browse the menu on their phones, I prioritized an intuitive and seamless mobile-first design.
Throughout the process, we worked closely with restaurant owner Reneé Fagerhøi to ensure the visual direction stayed true to BULA’s essence: unapologetic, lively, and full of flavor. Instead of polished perfection, we leaned into the raw energy of the space—half-eaten plates, messy tables, and the unmistakable buzz of a full restaurant. We used playful photography and dynamic video content to capture that real, unfiltered atmosphere.
The result is a brand and website that feels as bold, warm, and unforgettable as a night out at BULA.
