BERGE INTERIØR

Re-branding, as a personal project for Berge Interiør. Berge Interiør is a well established Interior shop in Trondheim, that has been one of the leading shops for interior since the early 60's. In addition to being an interior shop, they also offer consulting and home styling.

CURRENT SOLUTION

SOLUTION

The solution is a new landing page for the Berge Interiør website. Creating a new visual identity and color palett to properly represent Berge Interiør as a brand, not just a shop. In addition to the new identity, I also integrated a shopping feature, so the website now functions as a webshop. On their current website, it is possible to view brands, but the visitor is currently sent to other retailers. I saw a missed opportunity, and therefore integrated a shopping feature on their webshop.

Berge Interiør is not only an interior shop, but have a team of interior designers who decorate homes. Therefore another important factor for the landing page was to encourage people to book them for guidance & to decorate their home.

I also wanted the landing page to be a space for inspiration, for the viewers who are in need of new interior for their home. Overall I wanted the look and feel of the webshop to be unique to their competitors, and radiance experience, design and style.

Berge Interiør is a business with great tradition, and a historic presence in the local community. They strive to create unique and long-term solutions for their clients. With a focus on creating a space with harmony and balance. For them it is important to be positive, and trustworthy.

The color palette represents Berge Interiør and their values. Selecting a color palette that represents tradition, history, trustworthiness and at the same time communicate their sense of design and style. The sand color is a warm base color, and the sage green is a color that both represents nature (green is also often a color used in the luxury brand sector). The sea salt blue is a great complementary color in this palette.

The typography selected for this project is a combination of a serif and sans serif font. The "TYPE 2" font is the dominant font, used both for headers and small paragraphs. This is a clean, modern type, with some uniqueness to it. The second type, "TYPE 1" is a serif font I selected, as it represents the heritage and tradition of the brand.
