OBJECT OF ART

Creating the visual identity for start up brand OBJECT OF ART, including Logo, Website, and Social Media Strategy. The business was retailing vintage interior pieces through their online shop.

LOGO

The brand wanted the logo to represent the uniqueness of the treasures they retail, and the highlighting the importance of the story each object they retail. Therefore the logo includes the sea shell illustration, representing just that uniqueness and storytelling of not only their objects, but also OBJECT OF ART as a brand. The logo is made in a sans serif font, representing the modern aspect of the brand. The contrast of the bold logo, and the fragile seashell illustration, gives an interesting detail to the logo.

The color palette is a classic, and traditional color palette. Having a soft base of beige, combined with the classic royal blue and a delicate ice blue, and white as a contrasting color. The color palette will be used for the webshop. The imagery used will be more vibrant and colorful, so it is important that the base colors of the webshop matches any possible imagery. 

The typography chosen for this project, is a combination of three sans serif fonts. Two of them being in the same font family. These two are the dominant fonts used throughout the webshop, while the Header 2 is a contrasting font which can be used on certain feature headers. The overall impression of the fonts are modern, and easy to read. 

SOLUTION

The solution is a landing page showcasing all the vibrant and playful items for sale, while communicating who Object of art is as a brand. 

With a divided header, where it is possible to feature two focus points. followed by a overview of the object categories. Then there is a small section taking about the brand story, followed by a story section that is changeable and can be fitted to the season.
