OBJECT OF ART

Object of Art — Brand Identity & E-commerce Concept
Personal project exploring branding, storytelling, and digital retail design

Branding for objectofart

Object of Art is a self-initiated branding concept for a vintage interior shop with a strong focus on curated objects, storytelling, and modern aesthetics. The brand was created to retail unique vintage pieces through an online platform, celebrating craftsmanship, history, and character in every item sold. My role encompassed the full visual identity development, including the logo, and website design.

Logo & Brand Concept

The logo reflects the core values of Object of Art: uniqueness, narrative, and contemporary taste. A delicate seashell illustration is paired with a bold sans serif wordmark, symbolizing the contrast between fragile beauty and strong modern presence. The shell becomes a metaphor for each handpicked piece—carrying a story, shaped by time, and deserving of attention.

The logo’s simplicity makes it versatile across digital and printed formats, while the illustrative detail offers a distinctive, memorable touch that reinforces the brand's storytelling essence.

Color Palette

The color palette combines classic and elegant tones to serve as a neutral yet elevated canvas for vibrant product imagery:

  • Warm beige – a soft, inviting base

  • Royal blue – classic and timeless

  • Ice blue – subtle and refined

  • White – offering contrast and clarity

This palette grounds the website design while allowing for high-impact visual storytelling through colorful photography and seasonal imagery.

Typography

The typographic system uses three sans serif fonts, two from the same family to ensure consistency and readability throughout the site. A contrasting sans serif is introduced for select headers, offering visual variety without disrupting harmony. The typography feels modern, clean, and approachable—aligned with the brand's digital-first identity.

Website Concept

The solution is a clean, editorial-style landing page designed to feel like a curated digital gallery. It showcases vibrant and playful product images while emphasizing the brand’s narrative voice and refined aesthetic.

Key website features include:

  • A divided header with dual focus points for seasonal campaigns or featured collections

  • A category overview for easy product exploration

  • A brand story section to build emotional connection

  • A flexible storytelling module, adaptable for seasonal updates or featured objects

The layout is designed to balance commerce and inspiration—inviting users to explore not only the products, but the stories behind them.

This project was an exploration of how a modern vintage retail brand can combine narrative, visual identity, and e-commerce design to build a distinctive and emotional shopping experience.
